M. Susan Savage Joins #JustGov2016

Tulsa’s first female and longest tenured Mayor will join an inspiring line-up of leading change-makers featured at the Just Governance for Human Security Conference in Caux this summer. M. Susan Savage has been widely recognized as a leader in international relations, environmental stewardship, interfaith dialogue and reconciliation. Savage will travel to Caux as part of a Tulsa-based delegation of change-makers whose work on healing history and the promotion of understanding around issues of race in the United States will form an integral part of this year’s Just Governance programme.

Savage has a long history of public service and championing dialogue - during her time as Mayor Savage appointed more women and minorities to city boards, authorities and commissions than at any other time in the city’s history. She went on to serve as the city’s and state’s chief diplomat for international relations and as Secretary of State was a member of Governor Henry’s cabinet, with broad policy and executive duties at the federal, state and local levels. Savage currently resides in Tulsa where she serves as CEO of Morton Comprehensive Health Services, the largest primary care-providing community health system in northeastern Oklahoma serving Tulsa's North Side and provides strategic planning and consulting services to several organizations.

The team greatly looks forward to welcoming such a dynamic leader to the Conference in July!
