This year the Nakuru Initiatives of Change team marked the International Peace Day in style. This was the launching of the ‘Peace Bench’. The team, led by Samuel Muiruri, had been working closely with the Peace On Earth Bench Movement led by Brennan Bird from the USA. The movement has been launching similar benches across the world.

This part of present-day Ukraine includes many different cultures and ethnicities who have suffered historical injustices, including famine and forced ethnic re-locations during the Communist era.

Training with Farmers' Dialogue facilitators in Rwanda

Farmers’ Dialogue is aiming at mobilising and helping farmers to fulfil their role in producing food, reducing poverty, protecting the environment and natural resources. Those responsible for the programme in Africa have expressed the need of a 'training of trainers', in order to learn about and how to use training and animation tools and be able to run training meetings in their local situation. This will make the programme more sustainable at the African level and give more opportunities to respond to requests coming from outside Farmers’ Dialogue. Training will take place 1-7 November in Nyahururu, Kenya.

The fact that the world can be changed only if it starts from within was a starting point for 15 participants who took part in a series of four workshops on the theme 'I am changing', that took place from 3-13 September in the 'Info-room' of the Office for Youth, Belgrade. Looking within, revealing the values ​and beliefs that guide them, young people aged 18 to 30 years searched for the changes and means to make a difference in their own lives.
